Our partners

1. Farming and pastoral cooperatives

Our main partners are the agricultural and pastoral cooperatives with whom we contract sustainable win-win partnerships based on the principle of trust.  They are the agricultural and livestock production players that Goshen Land needs to develop value chains. With support in training, seed inputs and equipment, marketing and sales, Goshen Land becomes a partner and a solution to the gaps in the development of agro-pastoral value chains.

2. The NGOs

National and international NGOs involved in agricultural and pastoral development and agribusiness are partners. Sustainable agricultural projects carried out by NGOs are closed without the value chain links being strengthened for real value chain development after closure. Partnership with NGOs is a solution to the gaps observed after project closure. Goshen Land will therefore enter into contracts with NGOs a few months before the end of projects based on the development of agro-pastoral value chains. Farmers’ organisations or other structures set up by NGOs may need access to markets for their products, training in business plans and quality seed inputs. Goshen Land aims to offer alternative solutions to the challenges faced by agro-pastoral farmers at the close of agro-pastoral value chain development projects.

3. Small traders organised into clusters

Goshen Land organises small traders of food products consumed fresh into Groups to facilitate group purchases. Small traders are found in local markets and often need permanent and reliable suppliers. Goshen Land will help them to organise themselves into Interest Groups. Goshen Land invests in transport logistics to create and maintain the connection between agri-breeders and small traders scattered in local markets.

4. Subsidy donors

As a socio-economic enterprise, Goshen Land will be able to apply for subsidies from donors involved in supporting private players working in agribusiness. Financial support is expected for setting up processing units to add value to the production of products such as fruit and vegetables, maize, rice, potatoes, bananas, cow’s milk, pork and poultry. Subsidies are also expected for the modernisation of agricultural production. Producers organised into cooperatives or producer organisations (POs) need a wide range of support to develop value chains, including quality seeds and fertilisers, equipment, small-scale mechanisation, training in modern productions techniques and business plans.
